Bro, my unyielding loyalty towards you is totally normal and healthy, I swear. It's just that it's definitely my duty to rip out your enemies throats with my bare teeth. You are the love of my life and I am your most valuable tool. Each night, I fantasize about dying in your arms, covered in blood, and then I close my eyes one final time, satisfied because I can feel your fingers on my face as I take my last breath. Haha anyways

Still watching Whole Cake Island Arc and coming to super late realisation that Luffy really manhandles Nami all the time!

Usually when the crew is in a pinch and they have to carry Nami for some reason. Everyone is careful with Nami, except the future Pirate King. Though technically the biggest victim is Zoro of Luffy’s manhandling, still poor Nami.

Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Chopper, Franky, Brook and Jimbe to Nami: Yes ma’am we will carry you like the queen you are.

Luffy when running around with Nami in his arms: Let’s see if Nami can hang upside down in the sky for three seconds!

Buggy-Sama is the Trickster God: My unasked for thoughts on The Cross Guild! [has spoilers from ch: 1056]

Remember when I wrote previously, influence is influence, be it by fluke or hard work. Captain Buggy from the beginning has been a story about a man blessed with “Luck By Chance and the Wrong Person at the Right Place,” a story logic I believe wholeheartedly works for Luffy in the story. Buggy-sama is the antithesis to Usopp, and what Usopp could be if he was evil, and vice versa.

More importantly, Buggy-sama doesn’t let his luck by chance go to waste, and his mishaps grow into tragedy. He was terrorizing the people of East Blue quite happily before Luffy made a fool out of him in Orange Town arc. Buggy-sama’s ultimate goal was to be rich and enjoy power.

But unlike other villains of East Blue, Buggy-sama is also very petty and proud pirate! And to avenge his wounded pride he went after Luffy, that journey to find Luffy was pretty arduous. Finally, he formed an alliance with modified hourglass Alvida which lead to the events of Louge Town. But did Buggy-sama stop there? No he, he entered Grandline, again to chase Luffy down, this is also the first time we learn he had been to Grandline before as it brought back old memories.

He enters Grandline only to find Ace self-inviting himself on his ship, and Buggy-sama revealing he met Whitebeard before as well to his crew! This man has many secrets, unspoken knowledge of Grandline and information from past but he keeps to himself. The biggest secret being he was Roger’s apprentice!

Something we essentially overlook because we are busy laughing at him, is, Buggy-sama was an apprentice on Roger’s Ship with Shanks as his mate. Since we know how great and powerful Roger was, he wouldn’t have randomly picked two boys for his crew. He didn’t take Pedro with him, when Pedro was clearly a stronger child than Buggy would be at that time. Roger must have seen Buggy’s determination to survive all odds and taken him in.

When Buggy-sama’s history of being on Roger’s crew was revealed to fellow prisoners of Impel down, it amplified his already good at alliance making skills and gaining followers. The fellow infamous prisoners immediately followed him after learning of this history. Later Buggy also got Captain John’s Treasure Mark from Luffy, a treasure only Buggy and Alvida have spoken about, none of the established older pirates have spoken of it.

We also know he pretended to eat the bara-bara-no-mi, and no one in Roger’s crew stopped him. Though his actual goal was to steal and sell it and earn loads of money, he was always cunning and a manipulative liar, still in the end he ate it. Since childhood, this man has been a trickster and performer. He clearly blames his current fate on Shanks and despite knowing Shanks’ current reputation, he didn’t address Shanks as someone superior. Shanks also wanted Buggy-sama to join his crew after Roger died, but he chose to live in the calm seas of East Blue because his goal was to enjoy riches.

Like Luffy, Buggy-sama is pretty foul-mouthed in his conduct and like Luffy he also possesses the most dangerous gift; the skill to make alliances. Luffy’s alliances are generally formed based on deep connection or common goals of defeating the enemy, which later develops into friendship. Buggy-sama’s alliances are built on the people’s blind faith in him. Buggy-sama is similar to God Usopp, but on a much sinister scale of events. In Marineford he used the Den-den-mushi to show the world the happenings of the war and also presented himself to the world as Buggy the Magnificent!

Buggy-sama is a true opportunist, he was already gaining notorious followers after entering Grandline, the moment he became a Warlord, he began exploiting the arms trade, and he immediately filled the void created after Doffy’s fall. By establishing Buggy’s Delivery Service: the Pirate Mercenary Agency, the first stones to his guild was long time established. Buggy-sama stepped into the role of the new Joker, the underworld broker as well as become a provider of mercenaries and assassins which was Crocodile’s speciality. The establishment also consists of Alvida Pirates and former Baroque Work’s agent, Mr. 3. We can assume, other Baroque Works agents have joined in the guild too.

Not only that Buggy-sama had been able to employ five Giants even before the events of Dressrosa, Hajrudin was one of his mercenary!

So when his warlord title is stripped, Buggy-sama is pissed that he lost his privilege and protection. More so, he yells that he never tricked or tried to pick fight with marines, unlike Crocodile and Doffy.

But he chose to fight back, instead of the ever cautious scaredy-cat we are used to. Not a single former Warlord surrendered. So we can assume, that fight on Emptee Bluffs Island, which was his base; the battle was won by Buggy-sama and his cult.

And this stripping of his power might have made Buggy-sama change his mode of conduct. Buggy-sama maybe physically weaker than others, he never lacked resources or manpower. If he can’t exact revenge with his own hands, he will employ more hands. Hence, they began hunting down marines in return for the insult and uncertainty they have to face.

Now, why would Mihawk and Crocodile join him? The first time we had met Mihawk, he was hunting down Don Krieg for fun and because he was bored! He defeated and ransacked them in Grandline, but it was not enough, he chased them down to East Blue. This man is friends with Shanks and has met Luffy twice now, and on Marineford he had a showdown with Luffy, where Luffy used Buggy-sama as his armour! Whatever maybe the reason for Buggy-sama not dying, someone surviving Mihawk’s blade would leave an impression in Mihawk’s mind.

Since we know Mihawk loves hunting down pirates, now that he has to no longer care for the marines because of his title, he can hunt down marines too. By different experiences and motives, both have come to the same conclusion: hunt down the marines.

On other-hand, Crocodile lost his title two years back, his plan foiled, his entire network of operatives razed to the ground by Luffy. Again Crocodile too helped Luffy in Marineford, his anger and hatred for Marines is more than he has for Luffy. He refused Doffy’s offer of alliance because he didn’t want to team up with anyone, a part of me believes his pride would be wounded to pair with another warlord. Now that all the warlords are stripped of their title, they are not above him. It won’t hurt his pride to collaborate with Mihawk and Buggy-sama. Once an escapee it is next to impossible to capture Crocodile, and Croco works best with a huge number of people, so joining forces with Buggy is a means to an end!

Despite all these possibilities, we know the Media in One Piece cannot be trusted at all. Remember when Morgans wrote the article about Luffy being the Fifth Emperor of the Sea because he was the mastermind behind Big Mom’s assassination plan and collaborated with Capone Bege! But in reality it was Bege’s plan! Things are never as they are portrayed in the newspapers. And Buggy-sama is a master media manipulator.

Buggy-sama’ guild was in making for a while now, chances of him spearheading an alliance are high too. But by no means he could force or blackmail or compelled Mihawk and Crocodile to be his subordinates. They must have a common goal, which brought them together to some common place, and they have decided to keep their temporary peace by forming the cross guild alliance. If Luffy, Law and Kid can form an alliance, why can’t the above three?

Law is correct if Buggy-sama has truly made alliances with Crocodile and Mihawk, he deserves to be called an Emperor of The Sea!
