I feel people forget that while Sailor Moon is a crybaby, and definitely lacks the more heroic traits some chosen ones have, she is not somebody chosen for the role of a sailor scout. She was born into the role and had no choice really. I mean sure she could have told Luna no and skipped out, but at the end she was the princess and with the true sailor crystals that meant that she was born to be Sailor Moon. So yes she is a weak crybaby. She never grew up to fight. Even in her past life she wasn't a fighter. She was a Princess. The point is that while she has her drawbacks when her friends needed her she was there to fight, but of course she isn't as much help because her powers are mostly healing. She isn't an attacker and needs her other scouts to help in the fight. Sometimes the soldiers fight better than their leaders, but the leaders are leaders because they bring the soldiers together and see the underneath. Sailor Moon saw the good in everyone, and brought the Sailor Scouts together. While she is not your stereotypically warrior and many others would make great Sailor Scouts, its great the anime has Sailor Moon as she is because if they had this strong fierce warrior it wouldn't feel as relatable. Sailor Moon is the average, whiny teenager that never asked for her life and was babied, but she grows into her role. Dislike Sailor Moon if you want, but I love Sailor Moon (and she will always be my personal favorite character) because she showed that no matter who you are and the fears you had, you can be a hero.
